INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM OF THE CENTRE FOR ATLANTIC AND GLOBAL STUDIES
The interdisciplinary colloquium is the central forum for discussion for the master programme Atlantic Studies in History, Culture and Society. The thematic focus of the master programme is discussed in this forum, namely the entanglements between Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe. In the past, topics have included the transatlantic slave trade, gender relations, migration processes, land seizure and politics of remembrance.
Apart from debates on these and related topics, the colloquium offers the opportunity to discuss practical research-related questions. This offers an exceptional opportunity for students to receive support in choosing, revising and furthering their research regarding their master theses.
