Two defences of doctoral theses with “summa um laude” in one week…
Two young scholars and members of the CAGS defended on November 7 and 10, 2016, their doctoral theses. The theses themselves and the connected oral exam were marked with “summa cum laude”. The members of the Centre congratulate them with pride. Besides, the presented studies show the variety of research inside the CAGS.
Dr. des. Mark Minnes from the Department of Romance Languages and Literature wrote his thesis on "Ein atlantisches Siglo de Oro: Literatur und ozeanische Bewegung im frühen 17. Jahrhundert" (An Atlantic Golden Age: Literature and oceanic movement in the early 17th century).
